HOW TO TIE THE MUDDLER MINNOW STREAMER

Muddler Minnow Streamer

The Muddler Minnow is a must-have fly originated by Don Gapen in the 1930's and refined and popularized by Dan Bailey  in his fly shop in Livingston, Montana. Use it for imitating drowned hoppers, shallow darting minnows and wounded baitfish or sculpins, and as a skating or waking dry fly for steelhead and salmon. Salmon, steelhead, largemouth bass and trout attack this fly when given the chance! Tie some with both weighted and non-weighted bodies and in several sizes.
