HOW TO TIE THE MIRACLE MIDGE NYMPH FLY
The Miracle Nymph is a great example of the saying that less is more. This diminutive little midge nymph is absolutely deadly especially in tailwater fisheries like The Big Horn, The Colorado River at Lee's Ferry, or the North Platte River in Wyoming. Equally useful in lake fishing or working through riffles, alone or as a dropper fly. There are several variations of the Miracle Nymph out there, but here is one we find to be especially attractive to sippers and other picky trout. Although it can be tied completely with white tying thread, we prefer to use black thread and build the body over that with white floss. When the fly gets wet it seems to have "innards"; or if you prefer, lifelike properties. Easy to tie, so you should carry dozens!
