HOW TO TIE THE COPPER TOP STEELHEAD FLY

STEELHEAD FLY: COPPER TOP (Also known as the Copper Train, although that may be a slightly different tie.) The Copper Top Steelhead Fly is just one of those flies that looks like it is ready to go out and tie into a big one. The sparse tie and overall coppery color make it unlike any other fly. It certainly has produced under some very tough conditions for us.

TAIL: Gold or Copper Crystal Flash

BODY: Rear half Medium Copper Wire; Front half Medium Black Chenille

HACKLE: Black saddle hackle tied as a collar and tied back and down

WING: Gold or Copper Crystal Flash

HEAD FINISH: Loon Hard Head Black Cement
