HOW TO TIE THE HEADBANGER HEX NYMPH

Headbanger Hex Steelhead Nymph

This outstanding creation by Jeff 'Bear' Andrews was originally tied for the Great Lakes steelhead runs, but it is used with great success not only for Northwest steelhead and Alaskan salmon but for hunting large trout everywhere. This Hexagenia nymph silhouette works just as well for imitating stoneflies, and the addition of an "egg sac" as a tail makes this pattern doubly effective.
