BEULAH TONIC SKAGIT SPEY FLY LINE
Beulah Tonic Fly Line is redefining Skagit casting in terms of ease, control and efficiency for today's Switch
and Spey rods. Compact and powerful, Buelah's new Tonic Skagit Dpey Fly Line is the big brother to their Elixir Scandi
line series. Tonic is engineered for control by placing the majority of the lines mass where it best suits the rod for casting.
A condensed front taper ending with a large tip diameter positively transfers energy turning over stubborn long heavy sink
tips and large and heavy flies. Beulah Tonic fly lines are designed to match each of the Beulah Switch and Spey rods.
With nine line sizes to choose from, these will be an excellent performance match for fall and winter sink tip fishing
situations. For lighter leaders and flies consider the Beulah Elixir Scandinavian style line.
Beulah Tonic fly lines are designed to be just over 2 times rod length and allow for sink tips in a wide full range of lengths
and grain weights along with moderate to large and heavy flies to be presented with ease and grace. These lines are
generally designed to cast with sustained anchor techniques including the Snap T or C and Double Spey. With the right
touch, splash and go casts like Single Speys and Snake Rolls are not at all out of the question.
How is Beulah Tonic different from most other Skagit style lines? Many Skagit style lines are designed with the majority of
the profile as large diameter with out much taper to move the mass of sink tips and large/heavy flies. Crude, effective, but
not pretty. Beulah’s new Tonic Skagit can be dissected into four areas of line profile designed to improve casting, control
and line flight: Short steep taper that connects to your running line allows for the line to quickly collapse into bullet shaped
tight loops. The rear taper then melds into the belly or body of the line which carries the majority of the lines weight (in
grains) close to your rod tip allowing for instant load, and the ability to work tight casting spaces. From there, the lines
feature a condensed continuous taper to a large diameter tip which connects to and handles all of your sink tip and large
or heavy fly needs.
Beulah Tonic lines are matched to each of our Switch and Spey models starting with the 5/6 Switch giving you a total of
nine different options to choose from. Five grain matched lines covering each Beulah Switch rod will be a great match for
all rods 11' and shorter. Four grain matched lines for each Beulah Spey Rod

Blanks: Beulah blanks start with the industry's best 52 million modulus high-strain graphite. Beulah spent the extra time and money here at the heart of the casting tool to develop a series of fly rod blanks that have great hoop strength, fast smooth recovery, and perfect flex patterns throughout the four rod series.
Grips and Reel Seats: The quality of Beulah's Portugese cork grips is unbelievable. Every grip is built on the blank ring by ring to insure quality and longevity. The reel seats are equally fine and are specifically matched to each rod series for form and function. Nickel and hardwood reel seats grace the Guide Series, while the Switch, Blue water and Spey rods a come with saltwater proof anodized aluminum.
Guides: Buelah applies the highest quality Aconite-Insert stripping guides to all of their rods. Each guide set on each rod model is engineered, sized and spaced to enhance the performance of each rod.
